My name is Yonah de Beer (Nona Fugazi), and I run INSI Art. I grew up in a small town near Amsterdam and am 25 years old this year. For the past two years, I have been working at a studio in Aust, Amsterdam. It is from here that I practice my craft every week. I was raised by four gay parents, who come from Jewish and Catholic ancestry. Due to my growth experience, I have always felt that I am standing on the edge of social norms. I always have to explain my family situation to others, including myself to some extent. I started drawing to express myself; Do not discriminate against what is beautiful and what is not beautiful, without any good or bad feelings. I started using art as a language to express my personality. Whether it is the abstract depiction of certain ideas or thoughts, or simple venting, the motivation for my work is due to the split of my consciousness in the entire perception of reality. In addition to painting, I also do performing arts: "Identity Performance" (2019), "On Time Performance" (2020), and "Artist Not Present" (2020). After my master, I started my own studio called INSI Art. Under this nickname, I have participated in multiple group and individual exhibitions: Skek (2021), LAB111 (2022), Kunst voor Ons 1st Anniversary (2022), Amnesty International (2022), A New Story (2022), and Hem's Chapter 5 * (2022). I also performed at live painting events: Pippi's Opening Night (2022), Heineken Afterwork (2022), and Czaar Peter Burtfeest (2022). I have also collaborated with multiple clothing brands: Artistic, La Fam, and Una's Original. In addition to creating art, I also provide training and coaching courses for the company. In the past, I worked with Nu's Nooit (Jalien van den Tweel) to teach the connection between leadership, teamwork, and painting or creativity.
